About the Job
Key responsibilities:A. Custom WordPress Development
The developer will be responsible for end-to-end development of custom WordPress websites, including but not limited to:
- Converting approved Figma designs into fully functional WordPress websites.
- Building responsive, cross-browser-compatible layouts.
- Implementing custom themes (from scratch or child themes).
- Customising plugins and building light custom functionality if required.
- Ensuring optimal website loading speed and performance.
- Integrating lead forms, payment gateways, contact forms, and third-party tools as required.
- Conducting testing before delivery.
B. SEO & Website Maintenance Support
The developer will support the SEO and marketing team with technical and structural website improvements, including:
- Installing and configuring SEO-related plugins (RankMath, Yoast, etc.).
- Fixing technical SEO issues flagged in tools such as Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, etc.
- Optimising website structure, URLs, tags, schema, and on-page elements (as guided by the SEO team).
- Regular website maintenance, including:
- Plugin updates
- Theme updates
- WordPress core updates
- Uptime and speed monitoring
- Bug fixes and security patches
- Monthly backup and safe updates to avoid downtime.
