About the Job
Tax Central is looking for a highly skilled SEO Expert to take complete ownership of our search visibility, rankings and organic traffic across Australia. As we scale rapidly in the tax, accounting and financial advisory space, SEO has become critical for building authority, generating inbound leads and strengthening our digital presence.This role is meant for someone who does not simply “work on keywords,” but understands search intent, ranking psychology, E-A-T (Expertise, Authority, Trust) principles, and long-term organic growth strategies.
We want someone who has proven experience taking websites to the top of Google — and can do it again for us.
This is not a freelance opportunity and not a multi-project role.
The candidate must work exclusively on Clear Tax’s SEO roadmap and demonstrate strong work ethics, reliability, and consistency.

Our clients make high-value financial decisions — property investments, tax planning, business structuring — and they often search for answers online before approaching an advisor. Your SEO strategy will determine:
- Whether they find our advice first
- Whether we appear trustworthy, credible and authoritative
- Whether organic search becomes one of our strongest lead-generation channels
You will directly influence the visibility and growth of Clear Tax in the competitive Australian tax landscape.
Key responsibilities:
A. SEO Strategy & Planning
Develop and execute a complete SEO roadmap tailored for the Australian market.
Conduct keyword research aligned with tax, accounting, property, SMSF and business advisory niches.
Build a content-led SEO strategy targeting high-intent queries and service-based keywords.
B. On-Page Optimisation
1. Implement strong on-page SEO across blogs, service pages and pillar pages.
2. Improve internal linking, metadata, headers, schema markup and content structure.
3. Ensure content meets E-A-T and aligns with current ranking factors.
C. Technical SEO
1. Run regular technical audits and coordinate fixes (speed, crawling, indexing, canonical issues, broken links, etc.).
2. Work closely with the web team to ensure site architecture supports SEO performance.
D. Off-Page SEO & Authority Building
1. Develop a clean, ethical, white-hat link-building strategy.
2. Improve domain authority through relevant industry backlinks, partnerships and digital PR opportunities.
E. Analytics, Reporting & Performance
1. Track rankings, impressions, CTR and conversions using Google Search Console, GA4 and SEO tools.
2. Prepare clear, data-backed weekly or fortnightly performance updates.
3. Identify gaps and propose continuous improvements.
F. Content Collaboration
1. Work with writers to shape content briefs, keyword clusters, topical depth and structure.
2. Ensure accuracy in tax-related content (with guidance from technical teams).
3. Monitor content quality for factual accuracy and readability.
You will work closely with leadership, marketing teams, tax specialists, and financial advisors — gaining exposure to international markets and high-impact digital strategy.
