About the Internship
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:1. Intern Program Development & Management
a. Design, implement, and continuously improve the intern onboarding process.
b. Create structured internship roles with clear goals, projects, and learning outcomes.
c. Develop and maintain internship timelines, work plans, and evaluation frameworks.
2. Recruitment & Selection
a. Collaborate with department heads to identify intern needs across areas like:
i. Marketing & Social Media
ii. Event Management
iii. Partnerships & Sponsorship
iv. Content Creation & Digital Media
b. Lead intern recruitment efforts: post openings, screen candidates, and conduct interviews.
3. Training & Onboarding
a. Conduct orientation sessions to introduce interns to the organization’s mission, culture, and expectations.
b. Coordinate training sessions with relevant teams (e.g., social media tools, event logistics, sports tech platforms).
c. Assign mentors/buddies from full-time staff to guide interns.
4. Supervision & Mentorship
a. Serve as the primary point of contact for all interns.
b. Hold regular check-ins to provide guidance, feedback, and career advice.
c. Monitor intern progress and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
5. Project Management
a. Assign meaningful projects that balance learning and contribution to the startup.
b. Ensure interns have the resources and support needed to succeed.
c. Track project milestones and deliverables.
6. Performance Evaluation
a. Conduct mid-term and final performance reviews.
b. Gather feedback from team leads on intern contributions.
c. Provide certificates, recommendations, and referrals for outstanding performers.
7. Culture & Engagement
a. Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and high-energy environment.
b. Organize team-building activities and networking events for interns.
c. Encourage intern participation in organizational meetings and events.
8. Feedback & Improvement
a. Collect feedback from interns about their experience.
b. Use insights to refine the intern program for future cohorts.
c. Maintain a pipeline of potential future hires from top-performing interns.
9. Administrative Duties
a. Manage internship agreements, schedules, and documentation.
b. Ensure compliance with labor laws and organizational policies.
c. Coordinate with HR regarding stipends, allowances, or academic credits.
