About the Internship
At Da Alohas, we are building a next-generation vacation rental platform that simplifies how owners list, manage, and scale their short-term rental businesses. Our ecosystem includes property onboarding tools, revenue analytics, channel integrations, owner dashboards, guest workflows, and more. We leverage AI-powered development tools like ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, and automation frameworks to accelerate development and build robust, scalable systems. As a trainee software developer Intern, you will work directly with our tech team to build and improve platform features using a combination of traditional coding and AI-assisted programming. This role is ideal for someone who wants to learn fast, experiment with real-world systems, and gain hands-on experience building a modern SaaS platform.Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Leverage AI tools such as ChatGPT and GitHub Copilot to generate code snippets, troubleshoot issues, and document features efficiently.
2. Assist in developing and enhancing core modules, including property listings and search, dynamic pricing tools, booking engines, owner dashboards, and third-party integrations with platforms such as Airbnb, Booking.com, and Google Vacation Rentals.
3. Write and maintain clean, scalable, and maintainable code using JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, React, Python, or other relevant technologies based on project requirements.
4. Integrate and manage APIs, databases, and cloud-based deployments to support application functionality.
5. Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure code quality and system reliability.
6. Maintain clear technical documentation and follow version-control workflows using Git.
7. Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and senior developers to deliver high-quality features on schedule.
8. Explore, evaluate, and recommend innovative ways to use AI to enhance developer productivity and engineering workflows.
