About the Internship
The internship is a hands-on 'build' project, not a desk job. The intern will own the lifecycle of the machine vision system.Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
A. Phase 1: Hardware Setup & Integration:
1. Selecting and bench-testing the camera (Global Shutter) and lighting hardware.
2. Setting up the compute unit (Jetson/Pi) with the necessary Linux drivers and libraries.
B. Phase 2: Data Engineering:
1. Running the machine to capture 'Real World' datasets
2. Annotating/Labelling the data to teach the AI what a 'Defect' looks like.
C. Phase 3: Development & Logic:
1. Training the AI model to achieve high accuracy (>99%) and low latency (<50ms).
2. Writing the Python control script: If "Defect" is detected → Trigger GPIO Pin → Activate Relay.
D. Phase 4: Production Deployment:
1. Wiring the system into the machine’s Stop Circuit (under supervision).
2. Conducting 'stress tests' during live production to ensure the system doesn't stop the machine falsely.
3. Creating a 'User Manual' for the factory operators.
