About the Internship
Selected intern’s day-to-day responsibilities include:1. Selecting and bench-testing the camera (Global Shutter) and lighting hardware.
2. Setting up the compute unit (Jetson/Pi) with the necessary Linux drivers and libraries.
3. Designing and fabricating a rigid mounting bracket to attach the camera to the machine frame without vibration.
4. Running the machine to capture "Real World" datasets (images of correct sliders, wrong logos, missing parts).
5. Annotating/Labelling the data to teach the AI what a "Defect" looks like.
6. Training the AI model to achieve high accuracy (>99%) and low latency (<50ms).
7. Writing the Python control script: If "Defect" is detected → Trigger GPIO Pin → Activate Relay.
8. Wiring the system into the machine’s stop circuit (under supervision).
9. Conducting "stress tests" during live production to ensure the system doesn't stop the machine falsely.
10. Creating a "User Manual" for the factory operators.
