About the Internship
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:1. Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet production demands while optimising costs
2. Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers while managing relationships with existing ones
3. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to forecast material requirements accurately
4. Monitor inventory levels and ensure materials are ordered and replenished in a timely manner
5. Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements with suppliers to achieve favourable terms
6. Oversee logistics and shipping processes to ensure timely delivery of materials
7. Mitigate supply chain risks and implement contingency plans to address disruptions
8. Utilise data analytics to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings
9. Maintain accurate procurement and inventory records using relevant software systems
