About the Internship
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:A. Data Collection & Analysis:
1. Assist in gathering quantitative and qualitative data on clinic operations (e.g., appointment scheduling, patient flow, inventory turnover, client wait times, and service utilization).
2. Clean, organize, and analyze operational data using tools such as Excel, Google Sheets, or basic data visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI and Tableau).
3. Help create and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
B. Process improvement:
1. Observe and map current clinic workflows to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, or areas for enhancement.
2. Research and propose evidence-based solutions to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance both client and staff experience.
3. Support the implementation of approved process changes and help measure their effectiveness.
C. Project Support:
1. Contribute to specific projects such as inventory management system review, client communication flow optimization, or digital record-keeping improvements.
2. Document new procedures and create simple training guides or materials for staff.
D. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
1. Work alongside veterinarians, veterinary technicians, receptionists, and administrative staff to understand pain points and gather feedback.
2. Present findings and recommendations to the operations team in a clear, concise manner.
