About the Internship
You’ll work on real-world forecasting problems that influence business decisions — not toy datasets or isolated notebooks. From data exploration to deployment, you’ll be part of the full ML lifecycle.Your day-to-day might include:
- Designing, training, and deploying time-series forecasting models (ARIMA, SARIMA, Prophet, AutoGluon, etc.).
- Querying, transforming, and optimizing time-based data from MongoDB.
- Generating synthetic datasets to simulate rare events, balance data, or validate model robustness.
- Automating model workflows or data tasks using n8n — enthusiasm to learn this (or some hands-on experience) is a big plus.
- Building and maintaining pipelines to track model health and forecast accuracy.
- Working closely with engineers and analysts to turn messy data into clear insights.
What You’ll Need
- Strong skills in Python and key ML libraries (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, PyTorch or TensorFlow).
- Solid understanding of time-series forecasting methods and evaluation metrics.
- Experience working with MongoDB — querying, aggregating, and handling time-based data.
- Familiarity with synthetic data generation — statistical simulation, bootstrapping, or generative modeling.
- Interest or experience with automation tools like n8n.
- Basic knowledge of deploying and monitoring models in production.
- Comfort with data pipelines and performance metrics.
- Clear, practical communication — you can explain your reasoning and results.
Nice to Have (Not compulsory)
- Experience with MLOps tools (MLflow, Kubeflow, or similar).
- Exposure to Airflow, Spark, or dbt.
- Familiarity with anomaly detection or uncertainty modeling.
