About the Internship
As an AI + legal ethics research & experiment development intern, you will play a key part in bridging technology, law, ethics and experiment-driven innovation.Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Conduct in-depth legal and ethical research: analyse regulatory frameworks (India & global), examine case studies of AI systems and ethical failures (bias, fairness, transparency, privacy, liability).
2. Design, set up and execute experiments to test ethical/legal aspects of AI systems- e.g., bias measurement, fairness testing, interpretability experiments, audit frameworks, adversarial tests.
3. Work hands-on with AI/ML engineers or data teams: implement prototype experiment pipelines (data collection/curation, model fine-tuning/variation, evaluation metrics).
4. Translate research findings into actionable governance/ compliance frameworks, experiment reports, best-practice checklists and internal documentation.
5. Collaborate across interdisciplinary teams (legal, policy, technical) to ensure that experiment outcomes feed into our AI governance and deployment strategy.
Note: You would be responsible for a set of tasks from this bigger project, and can be assigned any tasks as per availability. Your active hypothesis contributions and ideations are welcome.
