WCRT bridges legal scholarship with social change, making it the ideal platform for aspiring legal professionals committed to gender justice and child protection.
Role Overview:
As a Legal Research & Social Media Intern, you will support both policy and digital outreach: conducting legal research, developing evidence-based content, strategizing on digital advocacy, and building WCRT’s online presence. Preference will be given to LLM candidates and students from National Law Universities (NLUs) with demonstrated skills in AI tools and digital communication.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Advanced Legal Research & Advocacy

Draft concise research capsules, law notes, policy briefs, case law digests, and judgment summaries.
Apply AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) for preliminary legal analysis, case summarization, and drafting support.
Assist with documentation and complaint responses in POSH and gender justice cases.
Analyse international conventions (CEDAW, CRC) and compare with Indian legal frameworks.
2. Content Development & Digital Storytelling
Design educational PPTs, infographic one-pagers, and awareness decks for training, outreach, and legal workshops.
Leverage tools like Canva, Figma, and Google Slides for visually engaging legal content.
Script and storyboard for video explainers, webinars, and panel discussions.
Translate complex legal language into accessible, multi-lingual content.
Social Media, Digital Marketing & Outreach
Manage and schedule posts across Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook using Meta Business Suite, Buffer, or Creator Studio.
Craft trending posts, legal tips, campaign hashtags, and thought leadership articles to boost awareness.
Analyse engagement data using platform analytics and suggest actionable improvements for audience growth.
Use SEO and keyword research to maximize the digital reach of content.
3. Stakeholder Engagement & Coordination
Organize and attend meetings with the WCRT Founder, guest advocates, and NGO partners.
Coordinate seminars, panel events, campaigns, and follow-ups with academic and policy experts.
Build networks with legal practitioners, NLU alumni, and field organizations for collaborative advocacy.
4. Eligibility & Preferred Qualifications:
LLM students, NLU undergraduates (3rd year+ in 5-year or 2nd year+ in 3-year LLB), or fresh law graduates strongly preferred.
Strong foundation in gender justice, child rights, and public interest litigation.
Advanced research, legal writing, and content creation skills.
Demonstrated experience with AI/LLMs (ChatGPT, Copilot) and digital communication platforms.
Familiarity with SCC Online, Manupatra, Google Docs, Canva, PowerPoint, Instagram Business Suite, Meta Creator Studio.
Creative thinking and ability to transform complex legal topics into audience-centric digital assets.
5. Perks & Learning Opportunities:
Direct mentorship from senior advocates, gender justice specialists, and POSH experts.
