About the Internship
At Sahara, we're building AI tools to help doctors and clinicians spend less time on documentation, and more time on patient care. We offer a tool that takes control of the user's Chrome browser to complete their documentation with just one-click. You would help in building and maintaining this browser automation tool.Selected intern’s day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Design and develop a Chrome Extension (MV3) with:
2. Popup/side-panel UI for user input
3. Background service worker for orchestration
4. Content scripts for page-level automation
5. Build a DOM interaction layer
Type into fields:
1. Navigate between pages
2. Wait for elements and handle dynamic content
Implement task orchestration logic:
1. Receive natural language requests
2. Convert them into step-by-step actions
3. Execute those actions with safety checks
4. Create site-specific adapters for chosen sites and a generic fallback mode
5. Add confirmation prompts for risky actions (form submitting, etc.)
6. Integrate with a local or cloud-based LLM to plan actions from user requests
7. Optimize for resilience (handle DOM changes, slow loads, shadow DOM, iframes)
8. Maintain clean, modular, and well-documented code
