About the Internship
If you have a love for logic and want to build a career in coding, this role is for you! As a Software Testing Intern at Kraftshala, you will be the guardian of product quality, helping ensure smooth and error-free product releases while learning industry-standard testing practices. This internship will give you exposure to real-world product testing, automation processes, and collaborative software development.Specific responsibilities will include the following:
- Develop and implement effective test plans, test cases, and scripts. Metric to measure: Number of test cases created and executed successfully.
- Interact with product, design, and engineering teams to test and deploy new features. Metric to measure: Timely communication and collaboration with teams, ensuring participation in sprint demos and reviews.
- Report bugs and track resolutions. Metric to measure: Number of valid bugs reported and successfully resolved by the development team.
- Automate repetitive testing processes. Metric to measure: Number of automation scripts created and implemented for key testing processes.
- Improve product quality and release processes. Metric to measure: Reduction in post-release critical issues or errors in the product.
Monthly Outcomes:
Month 1:
- Onboarded to product, tools, and workflow
- Shadow QA processes and participate in test case creation
- Start manual testing under guidance
Month 2:
- Independently execute manual test cases
- Report and track bugs effectively
- Begin identifying areas for automation
Month 3+:
- Implement basic automation scripts
- Proactively suggest improvements to QA workflow
- Contribute to release readiness and product quality
- Position for potential conversion to full-time role based on performance

- Bias for Action: An A-player proactively identifies gaps in the product and testing process and suggests improvements. A B-player waits for tasks to be assigned and rarely suggests improvements.
- Problem-solving: An A-player provides logical solutions to issues and improves workflows. A B-player reports issues but does not offer actionable solutions.
- Learning agility: An A-player quickly adapts to new tools, coding concepts, and testing methodologies. A B-player struggles to learn new tools or adopt new practices.
- Collaboration: An A-player communicates clearly and effectively with multiple teams, ensuring alignment. A B-player has limited communication; updates are unclear or delayed.
- Attention to detail: An A-player detects edge-case bugs, ensures thorough coverage, and maintains high-quality standards. A B-player misses bugs, provides incomplete testing coverage, and overlooks details.
