About the Internship
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:A. Design & Planning
1. Develop the master plan, site layout, and structural designs for mushroom composting areas, grow rooms, cold storage, casing areas, and packaging units.
2. Design drainage systems, flooring, and walls optimized for hygiene, water resistance, and temperature control.
3. Ensure adequate zoning for raw material intake, compost preparation, and finished product areas to maintain biosecurity.
B. Engineering & Coordination
1. Collaborate with HVAC and mechanical engineers for integration of climate control (temperature, humidity, CO₂, ammonia management).
2. Ensure proper civil foundations and load-bearing design for racking systems, tunnels, and utilities.
3. Plan water storage, treatment, and wastewater systems suitable for mushroom cultivation.
C. Compliance & Safety
1. Ensure adherence to local building codes, industrial standards, and food safety requirements.
2. Incorporate worker safety and operational efficiency in design.
D. Project Management: Prepare BOQs (Bill of Quantities), cost estimates, and timelines.
