About the Internship
Job Summary:We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Graphic Designer with a strong passion for visual storytelling to design captivating book covers across various genres. The ideal candidate has experience turning a manuscript's theme, tone, and target audience into visually compelling covers that attract readers and represent the essence of the book.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with authors, editors, and marketing teams to understand the book’s vision, genre, and audience.
Design eye-catching and genre-appropriate book covers (front, spine, back) for both print and digital formats.
Develop multiple cover concepts and revise designs based on feedback.
Select typography, imagery, and color palettes that align with publishing standards and book themes.
Ensure final designs meet printer and distribution specifications (resolution, bleed, formats).
Maintain brand consistency for authors or series books when required.
Stay updated with industry trends and design styles in publishing.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience in book cover design or similar creative work (portfolio required).
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).
Strong typography and layout skills.
Creative mindset with the ability to balance artistic expression and commercial appeal.
Excellent communication and time management skills.
Understanding of printing processes and file preparation for publishers
