About the Internship
About the Role:Join Karma Foundation's literary initiatives, including ABC (Ahmedabad Book Club) and Gujarati Book Club. Create impactful designs that build reading communities and celebrate cultural heritage.
Selected intern’s day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Daily Design & Content Creation:
a. Create 2 social media posts daily following a strategic content calendar
b. Design for campaigns like #WhatAreYouReading and member spotlights
c. Develop educational infographics for literary content and author features
d. Maintain brand consistency across Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn
2. Strategic Visual Design
a. Work with 5 established brand styles: Heritage Traditional, Contemporary Clean, Botanical Organic, Premium Literary, and Campaign Simple
b. Match design styles to content types (educational, cultural, community, inspirational)
c. Create engaging visuals for monthly themed campaigns
d. Design print materials for events and community building
3. Brand Management
a. Ensure consistent visual identity while maintaining design variety
b. Optimize designs for social media performance
c. Track design metrics and suggest improvements
4. Required Skills
a. Design Tools: Canva Pro (primary)/ Adobe Creative Suite/ Figma
b. Core Skills: Typography, color theory, layout design, visual hierarchy
5. Soft Skills: Time management, creativity, communication, community focus, understanding of Indian/Gujarati literary culture
6. What You'll Learn
a. Social impact design and community engagement strategies
b. Cultural heritage design and brand management
c. Performance analytics and design optimization
d. Non-profit sector experience with measurable community impact
7. Requirements
a. Portfolio showcasing design work
b. Ability to create 10+ designs weekly while maintaining quality
