About the Internship
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilites include:A. Accounting & Bookkeeping:
1. Assist in day-to-day accounting entries (purchase, sales, expenses, bank, and journal vouchers).
2. Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure accuracy of entries.
3. Support in month-end and year-end closing activities.
4. Ensure proper documentation and filing of all supporting invoices, bills, and vouchers.
B. GST & Tax Compliance:
1. Assist in GST data preparation, reconciliation, and return filing (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-2B).
2. Perform GST input-output reconciliation with books and vendor data.
3. Support TDS data preparation and reconciliation for quarterly returns.
4. Help maintain vendor-wise tax deduction records and follow-up for discrepancies.
C. Reconciliations & Reporting:
1. Perform bank reconciliations, vendor reconciliations, and customer reconciliations.
2. Match books with GST portal and TDS statements for accuracy.
3. Track receivables, payables, and expense reimbursements.
4. Support the creation of basic MIS reports and cost summaries for management review.
D. Operational Finance:
1. Coordinate with vendors for invoice verification and payment clarifications.
2. Assist in purchase order vs. invoice reconciliation and credit note tracking.
3. Maintain petty cash records, expense trackers, and support budgeting tasks.
4. Work on improving data accuracy and accounting hygiene across systems.
5. Directly work with CAs to understand business and finance better
