About the Internship
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:A. Trend & Market Research:
1. Researching current fashion trends in Indian traditional + office wear (e.g., kurta cuts, co-ord sets, breathable fabrics).
2. Creating moodboards, fabric references, and silhouette inspirations.
B. Benchmark Against Competitors:
1. Assisting in sketching or digitally designing sample garments (manual or via tools like Adobe Illustrator, Canva, Procreate).
2. Helping develop tech packs (specs for tailor/manufacturer) for each design.
3. Working on design detailing: necklines, sleeve cuts, hem finishes, trims, and embellishments.
C. Fabric & Trims Sourcing Support:
1. Visiting local markets to source fabrics and trims.
2. Documenting fabric types, pricing, and vendor contact details.
3. Assisting in shortlisting final fabrics in terms of texture, fall, comfort, and appearance.
D. Sampling & Production Coordination:
1. Coordinating with tailors or sampling units for prototype development.
2. Ensuring timelines are met for stitching, correction rounds, and final samples.
3. Tracking sample changes and maintaining documentation of edits/improvements.
E. Shoot & Styling Support:
1. Helping plan and style garments for product photoshoots.
2. Assisting with flatlays, try-on shoots, and creative styling as per brand aesthetic.
3. Documenting looks and suggesting creative visual directions for social media.
F. Documentation & Archiving:
1. Maintaining organized records of all designs, swatches, trims, moodboards, and lookbooks.
2. Creating a visual archive of final pieces, from sketch to sample to shoot.
G. Creative Inputs:
1. Participating in brand discussions, brainstorms, and contributing creative ideas.
2. Suggesting content angles for reels/posts based on fabric, design, and seasonal trends.
