About the Internship
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:A. Mechanical (HVAC)- operations, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning
1. Monitor performance of AC units, chillers, boilers, and ventilation systems
2. Check temperature, airflow, humidity, and energy use
3. Respond to complaints (too hot, too cold, poor air quality)
4. Schedule and supervise maintenance and repairs
5. Ensure systems meet comfort and safety standards
B. Electrical operations- power, lighting, and safety systems
1. Inspect power distribution systems (panels, transformers, generators)
2. Monitor energy consumption and prevent overloads
3. Ensure proper functioning of: lighting systems, emergency power & UPS, and fire alarms
4. Coordinate repairs during power faults or outages
5. Ensure compliance with electrical safety codes
C. Plumbing operations- water supply, drainage, and sanitation
1. Monitor water supply systems and pumps
2. Inspect pipelines for leaks or blockages
3. Ensure proper operation of: drainage and sewage systems, water heaters, and firefighting water lines
4. Manage water efficiency and conservation
