About the Internship
Cinemate is developing a first-of-its-kind digital device that will integrate seamlessly with our ecosystem. This role is for someone who enjoys building real hardware from scratch, experimenting, and solving problems across both electronics and firmware. You will work directly on the core prototype.What You Will Work On
1. Design and refine basic circuits for the device (microcontroller, sensors, battery, power management).
2. Build breadboard prototypes and iterate quickly based on testing.
3. Write and optimize firmware for the microcontroller (ESP32 or similar).
4. Implement wireless communication and timecode sync logic.
5. Integrate displays, buttons, LEDs and other peripherals.
6. Build early PCB layouts (or prepare handoff files for a PCB designer if needed).
7. Participate in testing, debugging, documentation and preparing the prototype for manufacturing.
