About the Internship

Hey there, are you skilled at crafting irresistible cold email campaigns that open doors and spark real conversations? We’re looking for a cold email & outreach specialist to help GradeLab connect with schools, universities, and educators across the globe. At GradeLab, we’re building the future of AI-driven grading and exam evaluation, helping educators save time, maintain transparency, and grade handwritten exams with 98% accuracy. Our mission is to bring automation, accuracy, and analytics to education, and we need your outreach magic to put this revolution in front of every institution that needs it.

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

A. Campaign development:
1. Plan and execute targeted cold email outreach campaigns for schools, universities, and edtech partners.
2. Research academic institutions and identify the right stakeholders (deans, HODs, assessment heads, etc.).
3. Segment audiences based on geography, institution size, and engagement intent.
4. Continuously refine outreach angles and campaign strategy to maximize response rates.

B. Content creation:
1. Write personalized, persuasive, and context-rich cold email copies that resonate with educators.
2. Build dynamic email sequences for different stages- awareness, demo booking, and partnership follow-ups.
3. A/B test subject lines, personalization, and CTAs for performance optimization.

C. Automation & tools:
Use outreach tools like Instantly, Smartlead, or Lemlist to automate campaigns.
Manage and maintain clean lead databases using Apollo, HubSpot, or Google Sheets.
Optimize deliverability- domain warmup, DKIM/SPF, bounce reduction, and inbox rotation.
Track metrics and set up dashboards for campaign analytics.

D. Analysis & reporting:
1. Monitor and report campaign KPIs open rates, click-through rates, replies, and conversions.
2. Use Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or Notion dashboards to assess impact.
3. Provide insights for continuous improvement and smarter targeting.

E. Collaboration:
1. Work closely with the growth, marketing, and product teams to align outreach with overall acquisition goals.
2. Coordinate with content and design for landing pages and email collateral.
3. Sync with founders for refining target institution lists and messaging tone.
