About the Internship
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:1. Circuit schematic creation: Assist in creating and editing circuit schematics using electronic design automation (EDA) tools like Altium Designer, Eagle, or KiCad.
2. Simulation: Perform circuit simulations using software.
3. Spice to check the behavior of the design before physical implementation.
4. Breadboarding and prototyping.
5. Building prototypes: Assemble circuits on breadboards.
6. Testing and troubleshooting: Conduct basic testing of the circuits, troubleshooting, and identifying issues such as incorrect connections or faulty components.
7. Measurement and data collection: Use tools like multimeters, oscilloscopes, and signal generators to measure voltage, current, frequency, and other parameters.
8. PCB layout: Assist in designing the layout for printed circuit boards (PCBs) using CAD software.
9. Component placement: Help in placing components on the PCB based on the schematic, ensuring the design follows best practices for routing, grounding, and signal integrity.
10. Design rule checks: Run design rule checks (DRC) to ensure that the PCB design follows manufacturing standards.
11. Documenting designs: Record detailed notes and diagrams for the design process, including schematics, component values, and testing results.
12. Reporting: Prepare and present progress reports on ongoing design projects to the team or mentor.
