About the Internship
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:A. Data Handling & Preparation:
1. Collect, clean, and preprocess raw data from multiple sources (SQL databases, Excel, etc.)
2. Perform data wrangling, missing value treatment, outlier detection, and feature engineering to prepare datasets for analysis and modeling
3. Maintain data accuracy and consistency throughout the analytics pipeline
B. Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA):
1. Perform exploratory and statistical analysis to identify key trends, correlations, and insights
2. Use visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Matplotlib, Seaborn) to communicate findings effectively
3. Work with data team to translate data patterns into actionable insights
C. Machine Learning & Predictive Modeling:
1. Apply various Machine Learning algorithms for classification, regression, and clustering tasks
2. Classification algorithms: Logistic Regression, Decision Trees, Random Forest, XGBoost, SVM, Naïve Bayes
3. Regression algorithms: Linear Regression, Ridge/Lasso Regression, Gradient Boosting, Random Forest Regressor
4. Evaluate models using appropriate metrics (accuracy, precision, recall, RMSE, R², etc.)
5. Automate model training and testing workflows using Python (Scikit-learn, Pandas, NumPy)
D. SQL & Database Analysis:
1. Write optimized SQL queries to extract, aggregate, and manipulate large datasets
2. Perform joins, subqueries, and window functions for analytical data extraction
3. Collaborate with data engineering teams to ensure data accessibility and integrity
E. Data Visualization & Reporting:
1. Build interactive dashboards in Power BI to visualize KPIs, trends, and forecasts
2. Create real-time reports that support business decision-making
3. Communicate insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders using storytelling and visualization techniques
