About the Internship
Role: Creative Writer Intern Position- Story Publishing Collective.Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Build a story-writing collective for children’s books, teen fiction, and novellas
2. Publish through Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP)
3. Seek 8 creative interns for the writing pipeline
4. Work with an experienced lead author on ideation, structuring, and refinement
5. Offer an unpaid internship with perpetual profit-sharing and co-author credits
6. Provide global distribution for published contributors
What we're looking for:
1. Strong storytelling instincts with compelling narratives, emotional arcs, and engaging plots
2. Creative fluency with unique premises, rich worlds, and believable characters
3. Structural clarity with an understanding of narrative flow, pacing, and coherence
4. Comfort with iteration and willingness to revise based on feedback
5. Collaborative mindset for building on others’ ideas and integrating themes
6. Presentation skills in formatting, flow, and storytelling clarity
7. AI-assisted writing using tools like ChatGPT or Claude for ideation, prose, and refinement
8. Cultural intuition to create stories that resonate across age groups and geographies
9. No prior publishing experience required
10. High storytelling intelligence and execution ability are essential
