About the Internship
We are seeking interns from a Road and Transportation Engineering background to assist in a data annotation project for the development of an AI-based road condition and safety solution. The role involves analyzing and labeling road infrastructure data, including pavement conditions, road defects, and safety parameters, to train AI models for predictive maintenance and risk assessment.Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Annotate and label road condition and safety-related data (images, videos, GIS data).
2. Identify and categorize road defects (potholes, cracks, lane markings, etc.).
3. Assist in quality control and validation of AI training datasets.
4. Collaborate with AI/ML teams to refine annotation guidelines.
Requirements:
1. Pursuing/completed a degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or related fields.
2. Understanding of road conditions, pavement defects, and safety assessments.
3. Basic familiarity with GIS tools, road surveying techniques, or data annotation platforms is a plus.
4. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
