About the Internship
Role overview:You will drive outbound sales. Find and call prospective merchants, start discovery conversations, and book product demos. You’ll often be the first person a merchant speaks with, so you’ll set the tone for a helpful, clear experience.
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Make outbound cold calls to qualified Shopify/ecommerce merchants.
2. Introduce DelightChat’s product and engage prospects in discovery conversations.
3. Understanding customer pain points and clearly communicating how DelightChat can help.
4. Maintain call logs, update CRM/sales records daily.
5. Do quick online research to qualify leads before calling.
6. Schedule product demos for the sales team and follow through.
7. Follow call scripts while bringing your own personality into the calls.
8. Handle common objections and flag high-intent prospects.
9. Hit weekly targets for calls and meetings booked.
10. Share insights from calls to improve our sales pitch and targeting.
