About the Internship
Business Development Intern — BharatNiti.aiWho we are:
BharatNiti.ai builds the AI-powered “digital brain” for Indian public-market funds. We automate research, capture institutional knowledge, and make workflows and compliance seamless for AIFs, PMS, family offices, and research teams.
Role type**: Internship (3–6 months, extendable)
Location**: Remote-first in India (IST)
Start**: ASAP
Compensation**: Stipend + performance bonus (₹15,000/mo fixed + ₹3,000 for every lead closed)
Mission
Create a qualified pipeline and book meetings with public-market investors. Focus on funds in the ₹3,000–5,000 crore AUM band, family offices, and research-led firms.
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
A. Prospect targeting:
1. Build and continuously refine target lists: AIF Cat II/III, PMS, family offices, research boutiques, AMCs.
2. Map org charts: CIO, Head of Research, PMs, senior analysts, OPS/Compliance.
B. Outbound execution:
1. Run multi-step sequences across Email + LinkedIn. Personalize using the fund’s holdings, filings, and public letters.
2. Hit weekly volume and quality thresholds without spamming. Maintain SEBI-safe, opt-out-friendly messaging.
C. Meeting generation:
1. Book discovery calls and product demos for the founder team. Manage calendars and confirmations.
2. Prep one-pagers tailored to each fund’s mandate and current stack.
D. CRM and reporting:
Keep lists, statuses, notes, and outcomes clean and current.
Report weekly on pipeline, replies, meetings, and conversion by segment and message.
E. Market intelligence:
1. Track pilots, events, and triggers: auditor changes, mandate shifts, head-count moves, and new fund launches.
2. Surface warm moments for outreach using our internal tools.
F. Sales assets:
1. Draft concise emails, LinkedIn messages, and case summaries. Localize for the Indian public market context.
G. Partnerships and events:
1. Source speaking and demo opportunities with CFA societies, PMS Bazaar, AMFI-adjacent forums, and campus finance clubs.

* 80–120 high-quality first touches per week across channels.
* ≥12–18% positive reply rate on personalized outreach.
* 6–10 qualified meetings booked per week.
* CRM hygiene score ≥95% (no stale stages, complete fields).
* SQL→Demo conversion ≥35%, Demo→Pilot ≥20% over rolling 8 weeks.
30/60/90 plan
1. 30 days:** Own a 300-account universe, 3 tested sequences, ≥10 meetings/week.
2. 60 days:** Segment playbooks by AIF/PMS/FO, add 2 referral channels, ≥15 meetings/week.
3. 90 days:** Pipeline from self-sourced leads ≥40% of new demos. Hand off 1–2 pilots/month.
