About the Internship
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilites include:1. Verify claim details and accompanying documentation for completeness and accuracy.
2. Review member eligibility and benefits based on plan rules and available systems.
3. Process claims by calculating correct payment amounts or initiating denial when required.
4. Ensure compliance with healthcare plan guidelines, policies, and regulatory standards.
5. Identify discrepancies, duplicates, or potentially fraudulent claims and escalate as necessary.
6. Document all actions and decisions clearly and accurately in the internal systems.
7. Achieve quality and productivity benchmarks as established by the organization.
