About the Internship
Selected intern’s day-to-day responsibilities include:1. Assisting in conducting audits and performing variance analysis through schedule workings
2. Gaining understanding of accounting standards and preparing financial statements
3. Supporting internal financial control reviews and preparation of standard operating procedures (SOPs)
4. Planning and executing assigned tasks efficiently and effectively
5. Ensuring compliance with statutory procedures by examining records, reports, operating practices, and documentation
6. Verifying assets and liabilities by comparing them to supporting documentation
7. Inspecting and verifying accounts receivable, accounts payable ledgers, and the general ledger for accuracy
8. Checking, inspecting, and reconciling bank deposits and payments
9. Communicating audit findings by preparing reports and discussing outcomes with the audit team
10. Ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and generally accepted auditing standards
11. Building and maintaining strong professional relationships with the audit team while demonstrating ethical behavior
12. Managing multiple audit assignments simultaneous
