About the Internship
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:1. Evaluate customer requirements and develop solutions for turnkey machine vision systems for manufacturing applications
2. Evaluate and select appropriate lighting and optics to create the imaging front end
3. Collect data from customer-provided samples and prepare feasibility reports
4. Integrate turnkey machine vision systems with robots and automation equipment; make adjustments, troubleshoot, and debug systems
5. Travel and work in factory environments to install and support machine vision systems, ensuring all machines are qualified and ready for production as per schedule
6. Supervise team members at machine builder sites and contract manufacturer production sites, as needed
7. Prepare standard operating procedures for machine vision setup, train team members, and provide support during machine setup and maintenance
8. Troubleshoot and analyze on-site issues, providing detailed failure analysis (FA) reports
9. Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain strong working relationships
10. Provide daily status and progress reports, and participate in update meetings
11. Respond rapidly and solve problems efficiently, escalating and seeking help when necessary
