About the Internship
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:1. Build new features in our consumer Android app using Kotlin (and occasional Java) with Jetpack Compose & Material 3 guidelines.
2. Integrate REST/GraphQL APIs and ensure seamless data flow using Retrofit, Room, and modern architecture components (MVVM, Hilt, Coroutines, Flow).
3. Collaborate with product & design teams to translate Figma mock-ups into pixel-perfect, accessible UIs.
4. Write unit/UI tests with JUnit & Espresso; automate builds with GitHub Actions and Firebase App Distribution.
5. Profile, debug & optimise app performance (memory, network, battery) using Android Studio profilers and Crashlytics dashboards.
6. Document reusable components and contribute to our internal Android knowledge base.
7. Stay current on Android OS releases, Jetpack libraries, and Google Play policies; present weekly “What’s new in Android” lightning talks.
