About the Internship
1. Preparing Reconciliation Statements in Excel:Preparing detailed reconciliation statements for GST, bank accounts, and vendor/supplier ledgers using Microsoft Excel. Analyzing differences between books of accounts and statutory filings, maintaining data accuracy, and preparing working papers to support audit and compliance processes.
2. Examining GST Notices and Drafting Responses:
Assisting in reviewing GST notices, audit reports, and departmental communications. Identifying the issues raised, analyzing underlying transactions, and drafting professional and well-reasoned responses under the guidance of senior associates.
3. Assisting in Show-Cause Notice Replies & Appeals for GST Issues:
Supporting in the preparation of detailed replies to Show Cause Notices (SCNs) under the GST law by compiling documentary evidence, researching relevant provisions, precedents, and circulars, and helping draft submissions in a professional legal format.
4. Working with Tally for Accounting and Compliance:
Assisting in maintaining accurate books of accounts in Tally Prime, including recording journal entries, preparing ledgers, reconciling balances, and ensuring proper classification of income and expenditure. Supporting the compliance team in generating GST returns, TDS statements, and other statutory reports through Tally and related software.
