IIT Madras Placements 2025
As per the reports about IIT Madras Placements 2025, a student received a salary package of INR 4.3 Crore Per Annum from Jane Street which is a global trading firm in Hong Kong.
As per the official reports, Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the IIT Madras Placements 2024 have concluded with the placement of more than 80% of BTech/Dual Degree and 75% of Master Degree Students where overall 1091 students were placed A total number of 256 prominent companies participated in this placement season, where 300 Pre-Placements offers were made, out of which 235 students got placed with impressive salary packages. A few multinational companies offered international placement offers to the students, and 44 international offers were made.
IIT Madras MBA Placement concluded with a 100% placement rate. The MBA graduates received the Highest Salary Package at Rs. 29.65 LPA and the top 25% Average Package at Rs. 21.89 LPA. The IIT Madras Median Package is Rs. 16.39 LPA, and the Average Salary Package is Rs. 16.93 LPA.
The IIT Madras Placement Process involved 32 companies offering roles in Analytics, General Management, and Finance. Notable new recruiters included NTT Data, Garuda Aerospace, and Forge, alongside regular recruiters like P&G, McKinsey, and Accenture.
Earlier, the IIT Madras Highest Package offered to B.Tech during the Placements in 2023 was Rs. 1.31 Crore Per Annum. Around 480 top recruiters visited the campus with an impressive 1612 placement offers. The Median package stood at Rs. 17 LPA. However, the Highest Package for M.Tech was Rs. 49.70 LPA. Top recruiters such as Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, McKinsey & Company, etc. have offered 1612 offers during the placements. Further, IIT Madras highest package for the MA and MBA programs offered by IIT Madras stood at INR 26.57 LPA and INR 30.66 LPA, respectively, during the placement season 2023.

IIT Madras offers an M.Tech program with a duration of 2 years that provides practical and industry-focused learning to prospective students. This program is offered in 26 specializations along with three interdisciplinary specializations for BE/B.Tech graduates. Admission into this program is based on the GATE 2025 exam. IIT Madras Summer Internship Placement Report 2024
IIT Madras offers Summer Internships under the Summer Fellowship Program (SFP) for students of B.Tech Batch who have completed their 6th Semester. This platform is provided to the students applying for internships who are from CFTIs, under the MoUs with NITs, IIITs, and other CFTIs. A maximum stipend of Rs. 6000 per month stipend will be offered to all the selected candidates for this 2-month Summer Fellowship program. Students can join the internship on the basis of their performance and can do their final year project in the respective department after getting selected for that particular internship.
