With NEET UG 2025 approaching quickly on 4th May, the candidates need to be absolutely sure about the latest rules of the exam day, dress code restrictions, and the documents required to ensure no last-minute hassles at the exam center. NEET UG 2025 Examination Date

The NEET Exam date 2025 officially is released, the May 4th entrance exam. Last year also the exam was conducted in the first week of May. The applicants had the option to fill out the NEET Application Form 2025 between February 7 and March 7. This year, the students were not provided with a second opportunity to do the registration similar to last year. Following the NEET UG exam, the board will post the NEET Answer Key 2025, and shortly afterwards, the NEET 2025 Results.

Must-Have Documents to Bring on the NEET UG Exam Date

Having all the documents with you is most essential to face no trouble while going inside the examination center. Following is a checklist of what you should carry with you:

  1. NEET Admit Card 2025: It is a mandatory document which will serve as your entry pass for the exam. Ensure it is printed on an A4-sized paper with a clear photo and signature.
  2. Passport Photos: At least two recent colour photographs, the same ones that were uploaded during course application. These may be required for pasting on the attendance sheet.
  3. Authentic Photo ID Proof: Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Voter ID, Driving License, or Passport can be used as acceptable IDs. The ID must be original, valid, and have a clear photograph.
  4. PwD Certificate (as and when necessary): The candidate claiming reservation against persons with disabilities will be in possession of a certificate approved by the competent authority.

NEET UG Exam Timing-2025

The NEET UG 2025 exam will be held from

2 PM to 5 PM.

Last admittance into the NEET UG test hall as per the NEET timetable is

1:30 PM.

 

Sitting in the examining room at your designated exam center at

1:15 PM.

The invigilator of the NEET UG Exam Center announces key instructions and checks admit cards from

1:30 pm to 1:45 PM.

 

Distribution of the NEET UG booklet 2025 at

1:45 PM.

Candidates write particulars (such as Roll numbers and others) on the test booklet at

1:50 PM.

 

The NEET UG exam 2025 starts at

2 p.m.

NEET UG will conclude at

5 PM.

NEET UG Exam Day Guidelines – Dress Code

Candidates appearing for the exam are supposed to strictly follow the rules, failure of which could result in serious consequences. 

 

NEET Dress code for boys:

  • Shirts/T-shirts with full sleeves are not allowed
  • Clothes should not include pockets, zips, large buttons, layers etc.
  • Simplify your shirts/pants as much as possible
  • Kurtas and pajama's must be avoided
  • Don't layer your clothes
  • You can have light slippers/sandals
  • Footwear should be minimized. Boots, shoes or any covered/concealing footwear should not be allowed

NEET Dress code for girls:

  • Be simple. Embroidery, frills and layering different pieces should be avoided
  • Half-sleeve Kurtis/shirts should be worn
  • Long and elaborate sleeves of any pattern are prohibited
  • Don't wear all jewellery metallic and non-metallic
  • Wear slippers or open sandals
  • Elaborate footwear is prohibited in the examination hall. Avoid boots, heels, stilettos, shoes

Candidates who are unable to adhere to these guidelines because of religious obligations are required to state the same while submitting the NEET  UG application form, under the category "Customary dress". These candidates need to report at least one hour before clearing proper security and frisking checks.

NEET UG 2025 - Exam Day Rules

All the candidates should adhere to the exam checklist and guidelines to prevent the cancellation of eligibility in the exam hall. The NEET UG 2025 exam day guidelines are mentioned below:

  • All the candidates should arrive at the exam center at least 1 hour prior to the reporting time.
  • Aspirants should bring their NEET UG admit card, original ID proof, and other things to bring for the NEET exam to the center.
  • Candidates should understand that the authorities will make no arrangements or provisions to keep the candidates' belongings.
  • Candidates will be provided with a blue/black ballpoint pen at the center to answer questions.
  • Candidates are not supposed to leave the exam hall prior to the time, even though they have finished the paper.
  • OMR sheets should be handed over to the invigilator when exiting the examination hall.
  • Should a candidate select a regional language as a medium for answering the questions and run into any kind of difficulty, the English version will be considered as final.
  • 15 minutes' time will be provided to fill the booklet with details before the examination starts.
  • Finger impression of candidates on attendance sheets.
  • Candidates should not bring any of the prohibited items to the exam center.
  • Filling both sides of the OMR sheet is compulsory.
  • Make sure that the code given in the test booklet is the same as the code written on the answer sheet.
  • A seat and roll number will be allotted to each candidate.
  • Changing incorrect or morphed photographs on the application form or admit card is not allowed.
  • Don't overwrite any data such as name, signature, roll number, etc.

NEET UG Exam Day Rules – Prohibited Items

Candidates are not allowed to bring these group of items on the exam day inside the hall

  • Stationery materials like pencils/pens, geometry/pencil box, erasers, sharpeners, pouches, calculators, writing pad, textual material, log table etc. are not allowed
  • Mobile phones, pen drives, scanners, electronic pens, Bluetooth, earphones, microphones, pager, health bands and accessories related to them are not allowed.
  • Goggles, handbag, wallet, belt, cap, wristwatch/watch, camera, bracelet etc., is not allowed
  • Eatables – open or packed, water bottles etc. are not allowed
  • Note that the exam center is not responsible for any of your belongings.
