KCET Seat Allotment Rounds
There are several different types of rounds for the seat allotment process for KCET. These include mock rounds, main rounds and an extended round. The seat allotment process takes place from August till October.
There are two main rounds of the KCET seat allotment process. These are the rounds where a majority of the seats are allocated. The first main round takes place in August. The second main round takes place in September. Students who are not allocated a seat that they like in the first round can try for the second round.
After the two main rounds of allotment, there is a ‘bonus’ or extended round of seat allotment as well. This is the round where a majority of left over seats are allotted to participating students. It is recommended that students do not entirely rely on this round of counselling for getting into their colleges of choice.

The mock allotment also allows students to see their potential allocations of courses and colleges.
