Karnataka Police Constable Allowances and Benefits (2025)

Karnataka Police Constables receive multiple allowances and benefits of a financial and service nature to assist their professional responsibilities and assist in their long-term welfare. The allowances listed below are included on top of the basic salary and are determined based upon: Posting, Role, and, Years of service. There are also social security benefits for serving such as pension entitlement and medical coverage.

1.Dearness Allowance (DA)

  • DA is paid to constables in Karnataka Police as a percentage of Basic Pay to mitigate the effects of inflation and is readjusted by the state government every six months.

2.House Rent Allowance

  • HRA is granted based upon the allocated city classification of their posting, as well as the city, state, county categorization, which pays a higher allowance for metropolitan and urban centers, lower for rural places.

3.Travel/Field Allowances (Allowance)

4.Medical Allowance

Karnataka Police Constable Eligibility 2025

To join the ranks of Karnataka Police as a Constable , candidates must meet eligibility in terms of education, physical & medical standards and age. There may be slight variations in eligibility conditions according to category and gender, while some concessions are made for reserved categories.

  • Age: General - 18 to 25 years of age; SC/ST/OBC - 18 to 30 years of age.
