JEE Advanced Exam Day Guidelines, Dress Code and Other Details
The JEE Advanced 2025 exam is set to take place on 18th May 2025. It is one of the most competitive and difficult exams in India. JEE Advanced 2025 Important Items to Carry

JEE Advanced Dress Code

- Jewelry is not allowed inside the JEE Advanced examination hall. Jewelry includes items such as rings, earrings, necklaces and bracelets. Other forms of accessories such as belts and watches are also not allowed inside the exam.
- Girl candidates are advised not to wear any designed hair clips and hair ties.

- Reach the Exam Center Early: Students giving the JEE Advanced Exam should aim to reach the examination center early. Leaving home earlier and reaching before the required time can help students avoid any traffic or weather-related troubles. It is important for students to know that no entry will be given to students who show up late.
- Carry Important Documents: Students should not forget to carry their important documents for the JEE Advanced exam. These important documents mainly include the JEE Advanced Admit Card and a government-issued photo-ID.
- Avoid Revision: On the day of the JEE Advanced exam, it is better for students to not waste their energy revising. Students should reassure themselves that what they have prepared is enough for the exam. Revision at this stage can cause unwanted stress and hamper a student’s overall performance.

JEE Advanced In-Exam Guidelines
Provided below are some guidelines students can follow when inside the examination hall for the JEE Advanced exam. Following these guidelines can ensure that students deal with minimum stress and know what they are doing before starting to write the JEE Advanced exam.
The in-exam guidelines are as follows:
- Cooperate with the Invigilator: It is recommended that students thoroughly cooperate and follow all instructions given by the exam invigilator. This includes the verification process. This includes handing over the admit card, thumb prints and other forms of inspections. Students who do not cooperate with the invigilator may be asked to leave the JEE Advanced exam.
- Rough Work: Students giving the JEE Advanced exam are not allowed to carry rough pages. All rough work by students is required to be done on a scribble pad. The scribble pad will be taken back by the examination invigilator after the exam has concluded.
- Do Not Leave Exam Center Early: Students are not allowed to leave the examination center for the JEE Advanced exam early. If a student finishes the exam before time runs out, they are required to sit and wait till the examination is finished for everyone. Paper-1 ends at 12pm in the afternoon and Paper-2 of the JEE Advanced exam ends at 5pm. Students may ask the invigilator to leave early if required.
- Complete Both Papers: The JEE Advanced exam consists of 2 exam papers for students to give. If a student appears for one exam but not the other, they will be marked absent and not evaluated. To avoid this, students should keep in mind that they are giving 2 exam papers and not 1.
