IIT Guwahati Mtech Fees and Eligibility 2024
IIT Guwahati Mtech Fee for the first year is Rs. 94,250. The Tuition Fee for the Sponsored candidates not serving as Teachers is Rs. 25,000. However, for all Other candidates, it is Rs. 5,000. There is no Tuition Fee for the SC/ST/ PwD candidates.
IIT Guwahati also includes other facility and amenities fees which total around Rs. 32,100. Except for the Tuition Fee, all other components of the IIT Guwahati Fees remain the same for all courses.

IIT Guwahati Mtech admission for 2024 is based on GATE 2024 scores. Candidates for Mtech admission must have a bachelor's degree in the required specialties and a minimum CPI of 6.0 on a 10-point scale, or 60% in the qualifying degree. IIT Guwahati Mtech + Ph.D Dual Degree Admission 2024
IIT Guwahati offers an Mtech+Ph.D Dual degree for its students. It offers specializations in Computer Science and Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering.
IIT Guwahati Dual Mtech + Ph.D Eligibility Criteria:
The approval of the Board of Governors (BoG) is pending for the Dual Mtech+PhD in Mechanical Engineering program. B.Tech/ B.Des candidates from an IIT with a minimum of 8 CPI on a 10-point scale are exempted from the GATE score eligibility criteria. For SC/ ST/ PwD candidates, there is a relaxation of 0.5 CPI or 5% marks. The Dual Mtech+PhD program only admits Regular students who work full-time and receive Institute Assistantships.
IIT Guwahati Dual Mtech + Ph.D Admission Process
- Written Test and Interview for Shortlisted Candidates.
- The selection was conducted in OFFLINE mode at the Department of CSE, IIT Guwahati.
- Candidates may be asked to present a valid ID card during the interview.
- Interview questions cover basic CSE subjects from the GATE syllabus.
- Candidates must mention at least three basic subjects for the interview.
