How to Apply for IET India Scholarship Award 2025?

The IET India Scholarship Award is among the most prestigious scholarship programs for engineering undergraduates in India. Eligibility Criteria for the IET India Scholarship Award 

Applications for this scholarship are being accepted until May 31 2025 and are open to students in their first second, third or fourth year of a full-time regular undergraduate engineering program in any discipline approved by AICTE or UGC.

• Candidates must have finished all credit courses on their first try. 
• In the semesters completed so far a minimum cumulative score of 60 percent is needed which translates to a CGPA of 6. 0 on a 10-point scale. 
• The age of applicants is not limited. 
• There are no costs associated with the application process.

Important Note: Members and non-members of IET are both welcome to apply and all engineering specialties approved by AICTE/UGC are eligible. Furthermore pupils who are entering a B.Tech. program via lateral entry in the second year may also be eligible.

How to Apply for IET Scholarship?

Step 1: Go to the official website of IET Scholarship.  Click on “Apply Now”
Step 2: Use the login information you registered with to access. Using your email address, mobile number or Gmail account you can register for  if you haven't already. 

Step 3: The IET India Scholarship Award 2025 official registration page will be displayed to you. 

Step 4: Fill out the registration form completely and send it in.
Step 5: After registering enter your password and registered email address to log in. 
Step 6: Complete the scholarship application by entering your personal information, educational background work experiences and extracurricular involvement. 
Step 7: Fill out and submit the application.

Important Note : A student will receive a certificate for both levels but only the national level prize money if they win the scholarship at both the regional and national levels.

Selection Process for IET India Scholarship Award 2025 

There will be four steps involved in choosing the scholars for the IET India Scholarship Award 2025. Each stage specifics are listed below.

Stage 1: Online Application & Evaluation 

Applicants will be evaluated in the online application round if they fulfill the requirements established by the IET India Scholarship Award. After being shortlisted candidates will be asked to take an online test that evaluates their knowledge of STEM (science technology engineering and mathematics) principles. 

To guarantee that the top 10 percentile of applicants from each region (North South 1 South 2 East and Northeast and West) advance to Stage 2 candidates will be chosen from this stage based on their scores.

In the South region, the division are as follows :

• South 1 : Karnataka , Telangana, and Kerala 
• South 2 : Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh , and Puducherry 

Based on the weights given to the questions in the online application the scoring will be determined by the total number of applications received.

Stage 2 : Online Test 

The Stage 1 shortlisted candidates will be asked to participate in an online test for the entire country. Knowledge of fundamental engineering subjects like physics chemistry mathematics mechanics electrical electronics and computer science is assessed by this test. 

About 50 multiple-choice questions will be included in the test and the top 30 students from each of the following regions North South 1 South 2 East and Northeast and West will move on to Stage 3. IET India will only get in touch with candidates who have been chosen for the regional presentation round which will take place on July 15 2025.

Stage 3 : Regional Rounds 

In the Regional Level Assessment chosen applicants from every area will give presentations on subjects chosen by the jury. After identifying five key societal problems students will be urged to suggest creative technological solutions that address both present and future problems unique to their areas. In order to give contestants enough time to prepare topic details will be sent at least ten days in advance. 

On the appointed date presentations will be given in person in a major city in each region. Shortlisted students will receive advance notice of the precise location and times. 

Prizes will be given to the winner and runner-up chosen by each regional jury. Only the winner will advance to the finals at the national level. The winners will also receive direction and mentoring from the jury members for the next phase.

The Regional Assessments will occur across five regions :

• North Region : Delhi 
• East & Northeast Region : Kolkata
• West Region : Mumbai 
• South 1 Region : Bangalore 
• South 2 Region : Chennai 

Stage 4 : National Finals 

September 15, 2025 is the date of the IET India Scholarship Awards 2025 National Finals. On the basis of the engineering problems that were addressed in the previous round the five Regional Round winners will showcase their technological solutions and ideas. 

Their presentations to a nationwide jury as well as their general growth during the selection process will be used to assess these National Finalists. Each stage's performance and progress will be the main focus of the assessment. 

There may also be a group discussion during the National Finals with the jury supplying the topics on the day of the event. The shortlisted competitors will receive advance notice of the venue and timings for the finals which will take place in Bangalore.
