GD Goenka University introduces B.Sc. Nursing course with Paras Health
Gurugram, 2nd June, 2025: GD Goenka University, in collaboration with Paras Health, has launched a four-year full-time B.Sc. Nursing course under its School of Healthcare and Allied Sciences department. The course will integrate academic excellence with clinical exposure to build the future healthcare leaders.
Designed in conformity with the Haryana Nurses and Nurse-Midwives Council (HNC) guidelines, the programme is specifically designed to equip students with skills needed to thrive in different and dynamic healthcare settings. Paras Health, a leading tertiary care organization with a track record of over 18 years and a strong network in North India, will be the clinical training partner. Students will be provided with hands-on practice across various medical specialties through Paras Health's large hospital network.

The B.Sc. Nursing curriculum spans eight semesters and is divided into a balanced blend of core, foundation, and elective courses. It follows a blended learning strategy that combines theoretical teaching with clinical exposure in various hospital environments.
The minimum age requirement for eligibility for admission is 17 years as of December 31st of the year of admission. They must have passed 10+2 with Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and English with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks from a recognized board like AISSCE, CBSE, ICSE, SSCE, HSCE or equivalent. Students who take the 10+2 Science examination through the National Institute of Open Schooling with the same minimum marks are also eligible if they are medically fit.
The graduates of the program will be adequately equipped to apply for jobs within hospitals, clinics, community health centers, nursing homes, corporate healthcare settings, pharmaceutical industries, and educational institutions. The program also opens doors for specialization in pediatric, mental health, critical care, and oncology, as well as for further studies such as Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP).
