CUET 2025 Counselling: Required Documents
Along with the admission form, candidates also need to carry some other documents such as:

Step-by-Step guide to apply for CUET UG Counselling
The CUET UG counselling is conducted separately by each participating institute, and the candidates must follow a certain procedure to book the seat and finally report to the college. The detailed step-by-step procedure has been given and explained in the section ahead.
Step 1 - Registration
The First step to begin with the CUET UG Counselling is to register for the counselling process. Candidates must visit the counselling portal for the preferred universities and register themselves with the details requested by the portal. The basic info will mostly include entering your name, registered mobile and email, CUET UG score or rank.
Step 2 - Document Submission and Verification
Once the candidates have registered, the next step is to submit all the required academic and personal documents including birth certificate, passport-sized photograph, and a valid photo ID proof to the admission portal of the various universities. The candidates must ensure to submit all the documents carefully and check before submitting. Any wrong or misleading document can lead to disqualification from the CUET UG counselling process.
Step 3 - Appear for the Offline Counselling Session
Once you have submitted the documents, the universities will carefully review the documents and the CUET UG result and upon meeting the eligibility criteria and CUET UG cutoff for the university, the aspirant will be called for a face-to-face interview. Students will be questioned regarding their academics, their personal interests and hobby and their future plans or prospects. Candidates must prepare for this round carefully and thoughtfully.
Step 4 - Payment of the counselling fee
Once the students have given their offline interview, they will need to pay the CUET UG counselling fees based on their category and as per the amount set by the university. It is to be noted that the CUET UG counselling fee is non-refundable for most of the participating universities. The counselling fee can be paid online using net baking, debit/credit card, or any UPI payment platform like (G-pay, PhonePe).
Step 5 - Final Document Submission
Once the CUET UG process is fully completed, the candidates will need to submit their final documents as requested by the university and move forward in the process. The university will thoroughly review and verify these documents and decide on your admission and seat allotment. Seat allocation in CUET UG 2025 is done by individual participating institutions on the basis of candidates' CUET marks, category, availability of seats, and preferences. Based on past trends, approximately 85-90% of seats are filled up in the initial 2–3 allotment rounds in top universities such as DU, BHU, JNU, etc.

CUET 2025 Spot Counselling
Based on the number of vacant seats, the participating institutes will announce a CUET Spot Counselling. Those who would not be allotted a seat in the original counselling rounds can participate in the spot counselling by registering on the official websites of the CUET participating institutes. Such candidates will have to participate in the CUET spot counselling rounds by visiting the institutes and getting the documents verified by the institutes' admission officials.
