Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, inaugurated India’s First AI-Augmented Multidisciplinary University, Chandigarh University, Uttar Pradesh.
On July 26, 2025, Chandigarh University, Uttar Pradesh campus, was inaugurated by Hon’bleChief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath. Chandigarh University’s Unnao campus will redefine higher education by integrating artificial intelligence as an academic tool, building an advanced campus, smart labs/classrooms, and making sure students are job-ready from day one. The Unnao campus had already tied up with international giants, including Google, Microsoft, IBM, NSE, Pw,C and more, to ensure that students develop their education, not only from the highly qualified faculty, but are assigned industry expert mentors as well.
The inauguration started with the Hon’ble Chief Minister planting a tree in the center of the campus as asymbol of environmental importance and technological advancements, followed by a brief tour of the campus and a glimpse of the AI room, and then, in a grand ceremony,unveiling the foundation stone of the university.
TheHon’ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, while addressing the students, parents, and dignitaries, praised CU-UP for integrating AI into its education model, which is being designed in a way that aligns perfectly with theNational Education Policy and the vision ofViksit Bharat.
Chandigarh University, Uttar Pradesh, is themost advanced amongst all the 47 private universities, with an overall investment of₹2500 crores, said the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath,during the event, and pointed out that the campus is futuristic for higher education and designed as per new standards of academic excellence.
“Why should they have to leave when they can learn, lead, and thrive right here in Uttar Pradesh?” said theRajya Sabha MP and Hon'ble Chancellor Shri Satnam Singh Sandhu Jiand mentioned the importance of bringing world-class education to UP, so students no longer need to travel far from home to pursue academic excellence.
The event also witnessed the presence of Cabinet ministers likeMr. Nand Gopal Gupta, Mr. Yogendra Upadhyay,Dr. Swami Sachidanand Hari Sakshi Maharaj,and other state leaders during the historic celebration with industry experts. It was truly a historic day for education in India; the event was an amalgamation of dreams, ideas, and an important milestone for India’s AI revolution for the present and future.
