BITSAT Paper Analysis May 26: Shift 1 & Shift 2 Difficulty Level, Students Reaction, Memory Based Questions

The BITSAT 2025 exam was conducted successfully for shift 1 as per schedule on May 26, 2025. Candidates can get a detailed BITSAT paper analysis here including the memory based questions from both of the shifts. Candidates must note that the BITSAT is conducted in two shifts including morning (9 am -12 pm) and noon (2 pm - 5 pm). According to students feedback, the overall difficulty of BITSAT 2025 was moderate-difficult. The majority of the students found the Physics section most difficult with conceptual and calculation-based questions, followed by an English Proficiency and Logical Reasoning section, which were relatively easy, whereas Mathematics was said to be long but doable. BITSAT Marking Scheme 2025

To gain a better idea of their result based on their performance, candidates can refer to the following marking scheme and evaluate their estimated scores.

  • Each correct response gets +3 marks.
  • Each wrong response gets a –1 mark (negative marking).
  • Unattempted questions are given 0 marks (no penalty).
  • The question paper has a total of 130 questions.
  • If a candidate attempts all 130 questions, he/she can attempt 12 bonus questions (4 each of Physics, Chemistry, and Math/Biology).
  • Bonus questions are voluntary but once selected, you will not be able to return to the initial 130 questions.
  • The highest possible score (excluding bonus questions) is 390 marks.
