Eligibility Criteria for AP TET 2025
To apply for AP TET 2025, candidates must meet specific education qualifications. The requirements are different for Paper 1 (for Classes 1-5 teachers) and Paper 2 (for Classes 6-8 teachers).
Eligibility for AP TET Paper 1 (Classes 1 to 5)
Candidates need to have one of the following qualifications:
- Passed Intermediate or Senior Secondary (12th class) with at least 50% marks , along with a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).
- Passed Intermediate or Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks , along with a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
- Passed Intermediate or Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks , along with a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
- Completed Graduation and then a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed).
There is a 5% relaxation in marks for Intermediate/Senior Secondary for candidates who have a 2-year D.El.Ed, as per NCTE rules.
Eligibility for AP TET Paper 2 (Classes 6 to 8)
Candidates need to have one of the following qualifications:
- Completed Graduation with at least 50% marks , along with a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed).
- Passed Intermediate or Senior Secondary, along with a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
- Passed Intermediate or Senior Secondary, along with an integrated BA/BSc Ed degree.
- Completed Graduation, along with a 1-year B.Ed (Special Education).
- Completed Post-Graduation with a minimum of 55% marks , along with a 3-year integrated B.Ed-M.Ed.
For those aspiring to be language teachers, candidates must also have a degree with the concerned language as an optional subject, or equivalent qualifications. This must be followed by a Language Pandit Training Certificate or a B.Ed with the language as a teaching method.
